Out of Frame (OOF) is a publication edited and assembled by students at the MIT School of Architecture + Planning. It lives at the porous edge of the institution, where things are a little less sanctioned and a little more unruly.

OOF is a place for the out-takes: ramblings, stories, manifestos, recordings, essays, and viewpoints that sit on the fringes of architectural theory and practice. If the frame is bureaucracy and formality, OOF operates just outside it, pulling from what is usually obscured while brushing against the official.

From 2026–27, OOF appears as both a small-run, hand-assembled print object that circulates through studios, offices, and SA+P's commons, and as an online index that serves as an extended archive. Together they trace the B-sides of architecture at MIT.
