CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
A smooch and an ouch, crushing makes us feel. What’s your building crush? How did it crumble? Failure is flirting, I like you and you grind me down.
Regardless of the definition that first comes to mind, crush is a process; a word that means both attraction and deformation without distinguishing between them. We can’t always help what we crush on, nor can we control what crushes us. Toxic crushes, unrequited crushes. A crush is rarely efficient. It wastes time, reroutes energy, and yet leaves you with a perversely productive feeling.
Send us your secret obsessions, your fan letters to structures that prevent overloaded beams. Tell us about the things you keep going back to even as they flatten you. We want to see crushes across scales: from buckling columns to crowd dynamics, burnout, circulatory bottlenecks, or even moral compression. Where do desire and damage start to intermingle?
